Some potential buyers pre-register with one or two agents, others with none, and begin the exciting task of finding their dream home. At the beginning of a week’s stay people are usually very enthusiastic, taking in every detail, asking all the right questions, getting more and more excited as they visit each of their earmarked properties. However.... by the end of the week this same couple are tired, deflated, often bickering with each other, exhausted by the travelling between properties and keeping to a tight schedule.

It is not unusual to have forgotten the first half dozen or so properties they saw at the beginning of their stay!  Maybe this sounds familiar?

Sad to say, but it’s a fact and none the less true, if children are present most couples give up house hunting after a day or two! Result? An expensive, fruitless visit.

Other people will make several trips, in the hunt for their dream home. Bemused by the different villages, criterion changed significantly, no longer any clear idea of what they want, or indeed why they wanted it in the first place. Yet, couples will, and do, repeat the whole process again and again.

Language is a major factor when moving abroad. There can be major stumbling blocks, time wasted, appointments to be made with estate agents, lawyers, vendors, banks, and so on and so forth. A lot to press into seven days! People tend to get so fed up with the whole tedious process they end up buying a ‘this-will-do’ property, having that slightly disappointed, dissatisfied feeling that comes with ‘buyers remorse’.

  • Help you with insurance quotes, and find the best suitable offer.

  • Translation and signing of documents, be it for house purchase, local authorities, banking, insurances.

  • If the property is a private sale* we will also assist at all stages with the notaire, guide you quickly and safely through the legal jungle, advising you of the timings and progress on a regular basis.
